The Processing and Equipment of Palm Oil
Palm oil processing in palm oil factory needs a series of carefully planned steps, and each step is very important for extracting high-quality oil. The process begins with receiving fresh palm fruit skewer, then sterilizing and threshing to separate the fruits from the fruit skewers. Subsequently, the palm fruit was digested and squeezed to extract crude palm oil, which was further purified and dried for storage. The palm oil processing equipment used to manufacture palm oil mainly includes sterilizer, digester, thresher, palm oil extractor, nuts and fiber separator.
Main process flow of palm oil processing plant
Sterilization: The fresh palm fruit skewer is sterilized with fresh steam for 90-120 minutes to soften the fruit and easily separate it from the fruit skewer.
Threshing: Sterilized palm skewers are threshed by strong vibration to separate fruits, while palm skewer waste is used as fertilizer.
Digestion: Palm fruit is crushed in the digester, and oil is released by decomposing oily cells, thus simplifying the extraction process.
Pressing: Palm oil is extracted from digested materials by mechanical pressing (dry method) or using hot water (wet method).
Clarification: Palm oil is separated from impurities by clarification, and then purified and dried to reduce water content and improve purity.
Oil storage: Purified and dried palm oil is stored in tanks before being shipped from the factory.
