Crude Palm Oil (CPO) extracted by palm oil machine need to be further refined into edible oil in palm oil refinery plant. The purpose of palm oil refining is to get rid of the harmful impurities and needless substances in crude palm oil to improve the flavor, color and storage stability of palm oil. Palm oil refinery mainly includes four steps: degumming, deacidification, decolorization and deodorization.
Our company has developed the latest combined packing layer plate deodorization tower and refining technology for crude oil of any quality based on the traditional palm oil refinery technology. Degumming section: degumming is the first step in palm oil refinery plant. It aims to remove the gum impurities in crude palm oil to make it suitable for further refinery process. Hydration degumming and special acid degumming methods can be used in this process.
Deacidification section: deacidification process can realize both degumming and neutralization of crude palm oil by adding alkali, water and acid. It can remove free fatty acid, crude phospholipids and moisture and separate the oil and by-products (soap residuals, phospholipids, etc).
Decolorizing section: decolorizing section is mainly used to remove the pigment, residual soap and metal ions in crude palm oil. In the palm oil refinery plant, this process can improve the oil color and provide high quality oil for the deodorization process.
Deodorization section: deodorization section is a crucial step in palm oil refinery plant for making first grade palm oil. It aims to remove the solvent, smell and water from decolorized oil. Deodorization process plays an important role in improving the oil quality after crude palm oil process. The quality of deodorization equipment has great effect to the oil quality.
